Well I have planting fever and all I want to do is be outside. It IS spring time in alaska and its the start of our summer. I have bought some plants ones I actually helped get started while working at the green house. and I cant wait to get them put into the ground and see what they do. I LOVE the growing and seeing what I reap stuff. I wonder though if we were to stop and think about this sowing and reaping in what we say and do if we would try to be more kind, more giving, more charitable . Sowing and reaping is a promise. It is binding. It is a law if you will. It's just one of those unbreakable things GOD has established and it affects all areas of our lives Most importantly our childrens and grandchilderns lives. If you ever stop to look at people and see a mom and daughter or dad and son.....if you watch and know their lifes story one can see patterns repeated. Sometimes to be repeated and repeated. Sowing and reaping. How do you break this cycle. Acknowledgement and Grace . Knowing it's there , repenting of it and asking for GODs saving grace to lead you on the right path and steer you clear of the viscioius cycle of distruction and pain. Wow how did I get on this subject! oh yeah, sowing and reaping. Seeds bring forth flowers and plants and food and gooie batter makes an awesome cake and cookies.

It is just undeniable that we reap what we sow. If we give it comes back to us one way or another. Good or bad we ultimatly reap what we sow.

So go sow some goodness, some kindness, some fun, and look for the blessed reaping that returns to you when you water with LOVE.

Spring is here!!

Today I defiantly have spring fever!!! the sky is clear blue as only Alaska skies can be and the air smells so fresh. deep breath...........ahhhhhhhhhh lovely!!!

Sorry I havent posted in a while I got a temporary job at a green house and it was so much fun but I was so sore and tired at night all I did was eat and sleep once I got home. My poor muscles. But now they are stronger and ready for me to move and keep moving. YAY!
The green house was fun I got to plant the baby plants when they arrived and get them ready for the stores. The plants were really starting to bloom when i finished on friday and they smelled soooo good......so good.......I will miss working there but thats ok I can go visit when I want.

The volcano is still erruping... at least there is still a steam plume ........it errupted 19 times with ash and they expect it to again......the last time it errupted it did it for months also. so we just watch and are on alert .

My wonderful hubby and I celebrated our 30th anniversary on the 14th of april with our children and grand babies and our friends . We had a prime rib dinner and it was most yummy.
we had a wonderful night. I actually came home early from work to spend the afternoon with my hubby and he suprised me with a dozen long stem roses and a new sparkly ring.....sighs I am soooooooooooooooooooooo blessed. thank you abba!!!

so I am off to finish spring cleaning for today and get ready for more cleaning tomorrow. YAY!!!

well I did it......I got a JOB............oooooooooohhhhhhhhhh aaaaaahhhhhhhhhh yes yes it is something that I sorta fell into and I am loving it. This new job is just temporary , as in seasonal so I will only work till the middle of April or so. WOW I I well the big ole world just has changed so much. I am finding the people interesting yet mostly i am finding out how much they need our loving Yeshua. Those who are just searching from thing to thing to person to person song to song and wow they have no peace or joy or ..........well they are lost sheep's.....GOD gave me the verse 2 Corinthians 2: 14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. 15 For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; 16 to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is adequate for these things? 17 For we are not like many, peddling the word of God, but as from sincerity, but as from God, we speak in Christ in the sight of God 2 corinthians .3:1 Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some, letters of commendation to you or from you? 2 You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; 3 being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

So GOD has put me as well as every one in place to be HIS fragerance..... HIS aroma i find this so interesting and exciting and good. Resting in HIS aroma and spreading it around. YES
I am soooooooo excited to be working in the green house. We are getting all the plants ready for spring time planting and I have to tell you the smell of the earth and moving it and planting all the little plants that will get BIGGER and bloom. So amazing how my GOD made this world. I am sore....so sore the muscles I have refound or didn't know I had oh man! But to work in the sunshine ( when its out) and smell the earth its invigorating!!! Especially since my world around me is still frozen and white. Love Rhonda

Today is today. not yesterday nor tomorrow. so what to DO today? shall I finish the laundry or sleep? shall I read a book or surf the web( blogs! so addicted!!!) .What to do What to do. The volcano still has not erupted and they have NO CLUE when it will. it could be hours or months or days. So we still wait and watch.

I found my brothers on facebook. They look good. I miss them. God please open the doors again. I do LOVE them so much!

Laughter

Well I have spent the last hour or so watching and remembering the Carol Burnett show. My tummy hurts goodness sakes . I have laughed and laughed. This was a time of innocence and fun and yet discovery and I grew up with this show. So this is one of my favorite outtakes and I LOVE this show it was sooooo funny . Every week was a new adventure in laughter. Thank YOU Carol Burnett and company!!!

Seismic unrest continues at Redoubt. Seismic activity is still well above normal background levels and is holding steady. The volcano has not erupted.

Weather conditions are clear at the volcano and a vapor plume is visible rising above the summit crater. Please see photographs from yesterday's overflight for views of the source of this plume.

The Aviation Color Code remains at ORANGE and the Volcano Alert Level remains at WATCH.

Friday Rumblings

Well we are having snow today. It has been predicted all week but now seems to finally have arrived. YAY ! I do like to watch it fall. So soft and white and quiet.

It's been a different week. We are under a volcano watch . Yes VOLCANO!!! we actually have several of them in Alaska , did you also know that Alaska is on of the most seismic active earthquakes places around??? Yep we feel some good shakers now and again. We actually get nervous when we don't feel them. Here is the site we go to look and see what our volcano is up to.

So what kind of storm /disaster would you "rather " be in ???
I know for sure i do NOT ever wish to be in another hurricane again.......they are NO FUN !! ZERO . Blizzards are kinda ok they eventually stop and you just have LOTs of snow everywhere and tornados do not sound like fun either. Thunder storms are nice ......comforting LOUD and Noisy but Comforting. The bible says that thunder is GOD talking. Wonder what hes saying?!!We don't get thunder storms in alaska very often. in the 12 years i have lived here. One time. i took video of it cause the clouds looked like a dragon it was cool!!!

Me and my son have been watching "Firefly" its from 2002 . It was a televison series and it only lasted on season . We really like it. FUNNY and gunsmoke meets space . In 2005 they made a movie "Serenity" it was a finale of the show. We are going to watch it again we think, we liked it.

YAY the sun is shining this morning and AND the days are getting lighter longer. It has been a long winter here and yet we have till the middle of may till its over . Ah well I will just work on my house and continue to get it like I want it.

Yesterday our sweet grandbaby was dedicated to GOD and that was special . Then we all went to lunch at the favorite chinese resterant. We packed the place out with our group of 26 give or take one or two. It was fun. It was really a good day.

Today I am just trying to figure out what my task is and how much I want to give to it. Seems I just have no motivation for much of anything lately. I find that weird and disturbing all at once and yet i seem to be locked in at this spot. GGGGGGRRRRRRRRR I DO NOT LIKE THAT FEELING. THIS FEELING!

Well I am off to GO attack the books I have piled up waiting to be put on shelves..

Today I am looking at my grass . Yes grass its green and some brown but alot of green and its the middle of winter. This is a mean mean trick. IT'S ALASKA!!! Mean!! soon more snow will fall and cover up the color and my world will be white again, all white......sighs. The birds are singing and the air smells so fresh. I LOVE SPRING TIME! Yet it is only winter. The pineapple express has struck again . Yep see that fence. It was standing last weekend. Then the winds hit with gusts of 105 miles an hour and voila this is the result. It is starting to rain as we speak so we shall see what later today brings. Welcome to ALASKA! I LOVE IT HERE!

Changes

I Live in Alaska and the weather is a constant change. Today it has been 44 degrees YES 44 degrees ABOVE zero and rainy and windy. The temperature change is something like 80 degree difference from what we were a mere 4 days ago to today.School was canceled and so was the hubby's work. So we had a quiet sleepy morning and then we took Snowmoria down. Snowmoria is our village. its BIG and fun and has 57 different houses. It didn't take us long with 4 of us working on putting each house back in its box and making sure it was safe till after thanksgiving when we put it up again. We have decided to try to write a story about it. Give it some life and hope and promise. Something we all need and desire in life. It is fun to look at it all lite up and just disappear and imagine . So the kids are hoping that school will be canceled again tomorrow and it might be as the streets are just sheer ice and slicker then anything. I am most thankful for my warm house .

Monday In Alaska

Real Snowflakes January 10, 2009 — Wateervliet, NY

ITS Warming UP!!! It's a whopping 10 degrees ABOVE this morning . We are supposed to get snow maybe 14 inches. I do love to watch the snow fall and pile up. It's all piled up to my knee still so more would make it all white again, right now its a dirty icky color. So it is with mixed feelings that I welcome the warmer temps. Now once again I will feel my hot flashes and they are NOT fun. Ah well to the well of cold water by the gallons I drink which is an okay thing. I think I need water I feel as if I am rambling. It is a new year. I am not sure how it happened . December was a blur, a big fast moving blur.
I know I was alive cause I ate and ate . Cookies and cinnamon rolls and pizza and fudge and more food then I should have eaten. So I am alive to tell the tale and now I am fortunate to have a nordic track that loves it when i use it so i am using that and working out every morning. This is a good thing .
It is COLD we have been blow zero for over 2 weeks now, and while my hot flashes love that cause then I don't feel them as much my fingers and toes tend not to like the fringed weather. I also DO NOT like the ice. It is slick and i slip and slide and I DO NOT like to fall down. That hurts when you fall.
So I am keeping busy and reading and loving my kids and grandkids , I get to cook and clean and keep my house clean and do laundry too.
Our Christmas was sweet and quiet and fun. All of my kids were home and it felt sooooooo good I am truly blessed I got a new sparkly ring, and most things on my list. Spoiled and blessed.
I love my that my GOD loves me and teaches me something new everyday. I am blessed to have other peoples blogs to read and when I think back to when I was a kids and the difference between then and now and cel phones and ipods( I LOVE MINE!!) and everything. WOW !!! things change , times change, people change. YET my GOD changes not. This alone can I put my feet on. HE IS MY ROCK!
